Free Basic Computer and WWW Workshops!

The library is offering free introductory workshops on how to use computers and the World Wide Web.

Each workshop will last 90 minutes and structured to allow hands-on training on individual laptops. One lucky participant in each class will receive a free computer book. Space is limited and reservations are necessary. Priority will be given to Yorba Linda residents. For more information or to enroll in workshops, call (714) 777-2873 ext. 6.

INTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB

Designed for those who have little or no experience with the Web. Participants must have basic mouse and keyboard skills. Email will not be covered. Learn about:

Web terminology
Choosing an Internet connection
Identifying parts of a Web browser window
Internet addressing
Introduction to subject indexes and search engines
Evaluating Web resources
